Audioslave is officially broken up.

Chris Cornell has left the band due to "musical differences," and Rage Against the Machine is set to permanently reunite.

However, I want to keep the club open, as kind of a tribute I guess.

I'm so sad right now.

You've stumbled across a DA club for one of the greatest bands out there today. Good work . Audioslave, consisting of Chris Cornell (vocals), Tim Commerford (bass), Tom Morello (guitar), and Brad Wilk (drums), is a band that was risen from the ashes of two great legends, Rage Against the Machine, and Soundgarden. After Rage's lead rapper Zach de la Rocha left the band, the rest of the members decided to stick together and find a new singer, and form a new band under a different name and a completely different sound. A jam session with Chris Cornell, fresh from his Soundgarden days and a hit solo career, proved that the four would be able to work together to create an amazing, original sound, remminiscent of great bands such as Led Zeppelin with its bluesy quality, that is seriously lacking in today's music.

Wow, that sounded like an advertisement.

Anyway. This fanclub was started on August 1st, 2006, by ~anonymousXidentity and ~Linwen21490 as a spur-of-the-moment tribute to this band. To join, simply:

Send a note to the club requesting that you join
Add the club to your friend's list

When we recieve your note, we'll watch you. Similarly:

Any submissions should be in the form of a link to your deviation page, sent in a note

We'll put a link to your page on our deviation, as well as the advice to place any s and comments there.

As for the submissions, any Audioslave-related work is welcome, as well as Soundgarden and Rage Against the Machine-inspired work. Obviously nothing with a mature rating will be accepted, but I don't think we'll have a problem with that .
